This site primarily is a place for me to share pictures, post blog entries and stay in touch with family members and friends. I work in the IT industry so I also like trying geek-related projectsjust to try them sometimes, this site is also an example of that. Some of my other hobbies include anything sports related from the big 4 of baseball, football, hockey and basketball to anything outdoors related. I'm a volunteer firefighter and I also like to hunt with and train my dog, Tucker, a Brittany.

I was playing around with my scanner tonight and was wondering if I could setup a live feed so that I could broadcast the audio on the internet. Turns out it was extremely easy, I hooked the scanner to my audio card using a cable I had laying around, registered at www.scanamerica.us and in about 10 minutes my feed was up and running.

you'll go to all of the live feeds to Delaware County, PA. Mine is labeled "Delaware County Fire" and you can listen to it whenever I have it online.

Bushkill NAVHDA Weekly Training - June 3, 2009

Tonight was our NAVHDA chapter's weekly training. When I pulled up I noticed there were only two other vehicles in the parking lot which is pretty unusual for training nights. It appeared that the training was canceled without my knowledge, luckily, it only took me an hour and a half to get there! Fortunately, the other 2 members that showed up brought the right breed of dog and it turned out to be an All-Brittany training night. Here are a couple videos of what we worked on. The first video is Tucker and I, the second is Kirk and his whiz Ace and the third is Joe and Molly.

First Post and a Kayak Trip

Since this is my first post I'm not really sure what to expect so I guess I'll just talk briefly about my weekend and my first couple trys at a new hobby. I took a whitewater kayaking class given by the Wilmington Trail Club - http://www.wilmingtontrailclub.org . We started out on Saturday at Lums Pond meeting our instructors, learning the basic paddling strokes and getting used to the feel of the boats on the water. On Sunday we all met up again at the Conwoingo Dam and carpooled to the put-in for the Upper Muddy Creek which is a Tributary of the Susquehana River.
