Cider Making

After an inspirational thread over at uplandjournal.com, I decided to try to make my own hard cider which is simply pure apple cider, sugar and yeast which is allowed to ferment for a period of time with the yeast turning to sugars into alcohol. For my first batch I used Simply Apple which I found in my local Acme and a pound of table sugar. For the second batch, I used Trader Joe's pure apple juice and a pound of brown sugar. The two results are extremely different in color, hopefully the taste will be noticeable.
