Since this is my first post I'm not really sure what to expect so I guess I'll just talk briefly about my weekend and my first couple trys at a new hobby. I took a whitewater kayaking class given by the Wilmington Trail Club - http://www.wilmingtontrailclub.org . We started out on Saturday at Lums Pond meeting our instructors, learning the basic paddling strokes and getting used to the feel of the boats on the water. On Sunday we all met up again at the Conwoingo Dam and carpooled to the put-in for the Upper Muddy Creek which is a Tributary of the Susquehana River. We all seemed to have a blast as we paddled our way down a beginner's river and did our best not to swim, even though that may have happened once or twice!

I'm looking forward to our next trip for the River 2 class which will be in the Poconos on the Lehigh River (i think) in June.
